To analysize the implementation of this integrated knowledge, it will briefly explore the Islamic heritage of higher education and the contemporary models of so called integration made possible, as in the case of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Islamic Science University Malaysia (USIM). For IIUM and USIM there is a great diversity in their curricula, objectives, contents and their educational systems.
