In addition, these issues diminish the sustainability of multinational corporations globally. In Lagos State, multinational corporations have been affected by the declining rate of competitiveness towards promoting their growth and reputations due to poor cross-cultural communication and diversity management, which has reduced employee contributions and experiences in multinational corporations of Lagos State, Nigeria. Hence, this study examines the factors influencing the competitive advantage of multinational corporations in Lagos State, Nigeria. This study adopted causal, descriptive and correlational designs to facilitate the quantitative approach in this study. This study has a population of 650 among the top 11 multinational corporations in Lagos State. The researcher distributed 260 questionnaires using simple and stratified sampling techniques and received 247 questionnaires from the respondents with a 95.0% response rate. The researcher established a self-administered questionnaire based on adopting and adapting the theories and previous studies as a research instrument for collecting data and validating using expert review and pre-testing. Next, 100 samples were adopted to examine the reliability of the pilot study, which was validated using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Later, the field study data were analysed using IBM-SPSS-AMOS version 28.0 for the regression analysis to test the hypotheses. This study confirmed a significant and positive correlation between cross-cultural communication, diversity management, and competitive advantage in the multinational corporations of Lagos State, Nigeria. The results from regression analysis showed that cross-cultural communication, diversity management and competitive advantage have a P-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.001. In addition, the results revealed that cross-cultural communication and diversity management influence the promotion of competitive advantage. It further created more satisfying employment opportunities in Lagos State, Nigeria. On the other hand, the result revealed that improved cross-cultural communication would help boost workforce diversity and facilitate the increased competitive advantage of multinational corporations. Therefore, increasing the competitive advantage would positively impact the employees' better lives, create opportunities for healthy working relationships, and create a substantial value and reputation for the multinational corporations' productivity in the Lagos State of Nigeria. In conclusion, cross-cultural communication is essential in promoting competitive advantage by promoting employee cultural communication and experiences to substantial productivity. Improving diversity management has promoted and influenced the continuous development of competitive advantage by leveraging employee education, promoting inclusiveness, and preventing discrimination in the multinational corporations of Lagos State, Nigeria.
