Previous studies have explored various factors influencing e-ticketing adoption in Nigeria. This study, based on the Technology Acceptance Model and existing literature gaps, examines the relationship between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, perceived trust, attitude, and e-ticketing adoption. A quantitative approach using convenience sampling surveyed 488 Nigerian travelers. The study employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for data analysis. Findings supported nine out of ten proposed hypotheses, with only "perceived risk has a negative effect on adoption" being insignificant. "Attitude towards" partially mediated the relationship between perceived usefulness, ease of use, trust, and adoption, while fully mediating perceived risk's effect. This research contributes theoretically by providing modified measures for e-ticketing adoption factors and suggesting SEM as a new framework for linking these variables. Practically, the findings can help Ethiopian Airlines passengers in Nigeria understand the benefits of e-ticketing and enable stakeholders to create customized services meeting customer requirements. The study's novelty lies in its comprehensive examination of multiple factors affecting e-ticketing adoption in the Nigerian context, using SEM to provide a nuanced understanding of their interrelationships. This approach offers a more holistic view of e-ticketing adoption factors compared to previous research, potentially guiding more effective strategies for increasing adoption rates in Nigeria. These insights may assist Ethiopian Airlines executives in considering the practical implications of these latent characteristics, which are crucial for improving service quality and contributing to Nigeria's economic growth in the aviation sector. uuid:FB4D7D02-FD22-4D14-951A-64FA3FDB2A30 17447_5b50dcb1dd0c941.pdf |
