However, the user experience in virtual technology for the purpose of cultural heritage learning could not be neglected to ensure that it had a positive impact on users' perception, attention, and engagement. The results of a preliminary study involving 30 users and a literature review indicated the need for virtual technology in cultural heritage learning. However, the user experience factor was not sufficiently emphasized in the development of virtual environments, making learning less effective and enjoyable. Three research objectives were formulated to successfully conduct this study. The first objective aimed to determine user experience factors and suitable learning theories for developing a virtual environment for cultural heritage learning. The second objective focused on developing a framework that integrates user experience factors and learning theories. Finally, the third objective aimed to validate the developed framework using a prototype. Methodology: The Design Science Research Method (DSRM) model was used to carry out this study. This model was used to determine the research methodology, which included methods such as Systematic Literature Review, Narrative Literature Review, pilot test, expert reviews, and a survey. The survey involved 118 participants in Cultural Heritage Study from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), utilizing the designated instrument Q-UCHEL (Questionnaire of User Experience for Cultural Heritage Learning). Results: As a result of this research, the User Experience for Cultural Heritage Learning (UXCHEL) framework was developed and validated through expert reviews and user testing. The pilot test results showed a high Cronbach's Alpha value (minimum=0.802). Meanwhile, user experience assessment, conducted through survey techniques, confirmed the robustness of the framework. It revealed high mean scores for various user experience parameters: Effectiveness (Mean=4.487, SD=0.589), Efficiency (Mean=4.363, SD=0.621), Attractiveness (Mean=4.528, SD=0.595), Satisfaction (Mean=4.363, SD=0.624), Emotion (Mean=4.401, SD=0.598), Engagement (Mean=4.385, SD=0.616), Attention (Mean=4.366, SD=0.619), and Perception (Mean=4.416, SD=0.598). These components collectively contributed to a positive evaluation, as reflected in the high overall user experience mean score for the prototype (minimum=4.336 out of 5.000). Conclusion: The components used in the development of the UXCHEL framework were crucial for optimizing the user experience. The proposed UXCHEL framework served as the foundation for further research and could be a guide for designers and developers of cultural heritage applications. 2024-09-03 12:14 uuid:8F9CB931-9242-4ABA-86DC-97D7F6BB1929 Framework of User Experience (UX) for Cultural Heritage Learning using Virtual Museum Framework of User Experience (UX) for Cultural Heritage Learning using Virtual Museum 2024_A Framework For Optimizing User Experience Through Cultural Heritage Learning And User Experience Factors In Virtual Environments A FRAMEWORK FOR OPTIMIZING USER EXPERIENCE THROUGH CULTURAL HERITAGE LEARNING AND USER EXPERIENCE FACTORS IN VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS (PHD_2024).pdf Thesis
