The study used self-distributed questionnaires for data collection. The target population of this study is the 770 managers (top-level managers, middle-level managers, and low-level managers) of Jordanian five-star hotels in Amman and branches in the south and west. Initially, the sample for this study was 530 managers of Jordanian five-star hotels in Amman, with branches in the south and west. However, the sample was increased to 583 to avoid response errors. 583 questionnaires were distributed to the managers of Jordanian five-star hotels in Amman, branches in the south and west. The completed questionnaires were collected for further analysis. 356 questionnaires were valid (representing a response rate of 61.06%). The framework of the study was tested using a Structural Equation Model (SEM) to test the hypotheses developed for the study. The results showed that the influence of the information system and leadership style was positive, statistically significant, and not significant, respectively. Similarly, the results showed that the information system and leadership style have a statistically significant positive influence on organizational culture. In addition, organizational culture has a significant positive effect on managerial decision making. Moreover, the results showed that organizational culture partially mediates the relationship between the information system and leaders' decision making. The results also show that organizational culture fully mediates the relationship between leadership style and executive decision making. Finally, the results confirm the moderating effect of gender on the relationship between leadership style and managerial decision making. The results support the theories of Contingency Theory and Leadership Style Theory. This study confirms Contingency Theory's relevance in Jordan's hospitality industry, showcasing the significant impact of information system capabilities on managerial decision making. It also highlights the mediating role of leadership styles and the need to align them with organizational culture for optimal decision-making efficiency in this sector. 2025-03-22 uuid:302B3EF6-B262-48B4-B456-3A843581B48B 17190_699c8f66516d255.pdf Thesis |
