The aim of this study is to examine the role of school, teachers and parents in solving truancy among secondary school students in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. A quantitative technique was used in the study. Closed-ended questionnaire was administered to five schools in Kuala Terengganu district namely; Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kompleks Gong Badak, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Ibrahim Fikri, Sekolah Menengah Agama Khairiah, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Mengabang Telipot, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Besar. The questionnaires were examined and approved by experts who are experienced in instrument construction and validation. Reliability value for the study variables were 0.868 for school, 0.867 for teachers and 0.909 for parents. The data obtained was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0 Descriptive statistics was used to find the mean, frequency, and standard deviation of the respondents. A multiple regressions analysis was used to examine the effect of the independent variables on dependent variable. Findings of the study shows that among the three independent variables, role of school is more effective in reducing truancy rate among students based on the computed value of B=0.715. This is followed by the role of teachers with B=0.298. And lastly, the role of parents with B=0.214. The study recommends that parents should ensure that their children attend school regularly by closed supervision. Finally, teachers should encourage and make frequent check on students‟ attendance to ensure their punctuality and communicate such to the parents.
