Consequently, they require continuous awareness. Conceptually, SP has similarities with schools that use the 2013 curriculum but has a different implementation. The 2013 curriculum mentions character education, but teachers use academic abilities (cognitive) to measure students' character. This matter is in contrast to SP, where the internalization of this SP concept is about positive emotions and positive language when the learners meet each other. The learners are trained to keep their mutual promises, have a good attitude towards others, and speak the truth. This study aims to elaborate on the importance of the concept of SP, explore how the students practice it and identify teachers' strategies to measure the success of its implementation. This study employed a qualitative approach with the research design of a case study at a senior high school called SMA 1 Gunung Sari, Lombok, Indonesia. The samples comprised 15 participants who were selected using the purposive sampling method. The interviewing technique was used to collect data for the study involving the SP's vice principal, class teacher, and founder. Furthermore, a Focus Group discussion was conducted to collect data from the study among students, which consisted of 12 participants. For data analysis, the research used ATLAS.Ti software as a tool to code, group, display, and draw a conclusion. Result: The research finding revealed that SP was successfully conducted. The interviews showed the importance of the SP concept in emphasizing students' character (recognitive) and not academic results (cognitive). Some character traits were built and showed among the students after the implementation of SP, such as diligence, commitment, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance. On the other hand, the result of the focus group discussion indicated that the students practiced the concept of SP with the teachers based on their commitment. It was described that students participated in SP literacy reading books and presentation material and respected each other. Besides, the result found that teachers provided two particular assessment forms to measure the student's character. Class and literacy observation forms were used to measure the students' character. The form of class observation was conducted when students were learning in a formal class. In contrast, literacy observation was employed when students were studying in a literacy class. This study can be used as a reference for implementing SP to develop character education. Moreover, this study is expected to be a reference for other schools in building character education using the concept of SP. In addition, the government should manage a regulation about this concept and apply the concept to all schools in Indonesia.
