With the world moving speedily into digital technology, new demands have arisen to utilize this technology in industries to acquire its advantages. The education sector is one of the most important sectors that has integrated ICT with instruction to develop electronic learning systems to deliver content and activities through the Internet. The transformation from traditional face-toface education to a mixed-method education that comprises the e-learning systems as an educational tool forced the higher education institutions to develop infrastructure that can cope with the adoption of the new technology. According to previous literature, students' usage and acceptance of the e-learning system in Jordan were low. Students' resistance to using the e-learning system can negatively affect the success of such a new phenomenon in Jordan public universities when universities race to catch a place among reputable universities. To solve the problem, factors that affect students’ acceptance and usage of the e-learning system should be investigated. However, in light of the previous studies in the field, quality factors are significant predictors of students' acceptance of the e-learning system. Accordingly, this research is based on integrating the Delone and McLean Information System Success Model with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to understand the effect of system quality, information quality, service quality on the acceptance factors i.e., perceived usefulness, intention to use and actual use. Moreover, the two mediators of perceived usefulness and intention to use were tested serially for the first time in this study to determine their serial mediating role in the relationships between the three quality factors and actual use. A quantitative method was employed. The population of this study is students of public universities in Jordan. A questionnaire was developed, and by applying a multi-stage cluster sampling, 422 questionnaires were distributed to 422 students of three public universities. With a 93% response rate, 393 questionnaires were returned, and finally, 336 questionnaires were coded, cleaned, and preliminarily analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science IBM SPSS 24.0. Additionally, the proposed model and hypotheses were examined using the Structural Equation Modelling via IBM SPSS AMOS 24.0 testing the multi-group confirmatory factor analysis and the path coefficient of the direct effect and indirect effect in the model confirmed with bootstrapping. System quality, information quality and service quality were found to have significant direct effect on perceived usefulness and intention to use and insignificant direct effect on actual use. The three quality factors affect the e-learning system actual use indirectly through the serial mediators perceived usefulness and intention to use. This study could contribute to university management, decisionmakers in education sector, and e-learning systems developers to improve the factors that influence students' acceptance and use of the e-learning system in developing countries with low acceptance rates.
