Such as manufacturing performance can increase economic growth with the help of technological capabilities and its significant impact on the manufacturing SMEs. The industry experts believe that manufacturing SMEs have deficient performance, which can affect the implementation of technological capabilities to perform better in the production competitive market. The study aimed to know the effect of manufacturing practices and technological capabilities on manufacturing performance among Bumiputera SMEs in Malaysia. The study was evaluated with the help of quantitative research methods and stratified random sampling (SRS) techniques were used to collect data from the (N = 175) MIBE manufacturing SMEs. Data was collected to adapt and modify the survey questionnaire, which was further translated into Malaysian. Descriptive and inferential statistics (multiple hierarchical regression) were used to measure the actual results with the help of Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS Version-22). The result revealed that manufacturing practices have a direct predictive association with manufacturing performance among SMEs. Similarly, technological capability mediated the relationship between manufacturing practices and manufacturing performance among SMEs. Furthermore, technological capability increases the quality, delivery and flexibility performance and reduces the cost performance among SMEs. Such as human resource management (HRM), supply chain management (SCM), just-in-time (JIT) and total quality management (TQM) increase manufacturing performance. The findings of the research supported the proposed hypotheses significantly. The study concluded that HRM, SCM, TQM, and JIT could improve production quality, delivery, and flexibility performance as well as reduce production cost performance. In summary, this technique has demonstrated high-quality results; for instance, the implication of technological capability enhances the production quality, delivery, and flexibility and reduces the cost performance of the production. The research is beneficial to SME business professionals, owners and practitioners, and it can provide the most recent practical information and reflects the current situation of the SME’s competitive environment. The framework could tremendously affect the SME business organization, and practitioners' implement technological capability in human resource management, supply chain management, just-in-time, and total quality management to prepare good and highly valuable products with the help of technological capability for the highly competitive demand and supply. The technological capability could develop the best strategy inside SMEs to improve overall performance. The recommendations were put forward to the stakeholders that technological capability alignment is mandatory for improving production quality, delivery and flexibility and reducing the cost of production.
