Meanwhile, physical fitness plays an important role in young male athlete such as selection and talent identification. Furthermore, the collected data sets of development athletes can be very large, often containing many variables, and the standard univariate statistical analysis techniques used (e.g., t-tests and analysis of variance) tend to ignore the multivariate aspects of the data, instead focusing on the identification of single variables to differentiate between performance levels. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the key parameter that contributed the most to young male athletes in Malaysia sport schools, development and verification of Index based on physical fitness parameters and lastly development of model based on physical fitness parameters among Malaysia sport school athletes. A total of 4598 athletes from 5 sport schools around Malaysia participated in this study namely, Sekolah Sukan Bukit Jalil (SSBJ), Sekolah Sukan Malaysia Pahang (SSMP), Sekolah Sukan Tunku Mahkota Ismail (SSTMI), Sekolah Sukan Malaysia Sabah (SSMS) and Sekolah Sukan Malaysia Terengganu (SSMT). Several physical fitness components were selected for the current study involving Leg Power, Upper Body Strength, Speed, Aerobic Fitness, Flexibility, and all the fitness tests procedures were conducted as reckoning by the previous researchers. Eight tests were used to measure physical fitness i.e., standing broad jump, throwing medicine ball, sprint 20m, 10m shuttle run, sit and reach, sit up, push up and vertical jump. Furthermore, descriptive statistic and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) were used to conduct a statistical analysis for this study. Result of the analysis found that standing broad jump (cm) [0.87] and vertical jump (cm) [0.89] are the main key parameters, followed by sit up (reps) [0.75] and push up (reps) [0.74] for second component and last component is 20 meter speed (sec) [0.85] and 10m shuttle run (sec) [0.98], respectively. Vast of athlete (4339) pool in the moderate till lower category and only 259 athletes grouped in the high and very high category. Each group's model differs significantly with high potential athletes tend to have high explosive power and endurance. Coaches are recommended to use the abovementioned key parameters to objectively identify the potential young male athletes in Malaysia. Importantly, this study expands the influence and relation between physical fitness motor components of the athletes, and further study is needed as recommended.
