In general, Social Enterprises involves businesses that command less attention from the government but boast high valueadded benefits such as notable profits and significant social impacts to the society. In Malaysia, Social Enterprises is still in its early stage and needs a lot more options of business models to be implemented. The objective of this study was to identify sources of social and economic values in the process of Social Value Creation through the Shared Value Concept. It was also designed to categorise the benefits acquired from the social and economic values. While setting its focus on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to strengthen Social Business Model, this study attempted to identify combined values in Social Business Model according to the core of the business type and social mission. Semi-structured interviews were used for primary data collection. This study used Nvivo 12 software for qualitative data analysis to develop themes (Analysis of Thematic Codes or Content Analysis). It applied Business Model Canvas as a medium to explain the role of the interrelatedness of the combination of sources developed during Social Value Creation process. A thorough assessment on the results of this study were carried out by a focus group made up of experts in social entrepreneurship representing universities, local social enterprises and related public agencies. This study had managed to identify the main sources of social values such as management approach, information and leadership. As for the main sources of economic values, they were ERM, financial strength and financial records. This study had as well categorised the acquired benefits based on social values such as a multitude of sources and efficient, effective impacts. As for the benefits acquired based on economic values, they were cost management and increased profits. This study also acknowledged the existence of ERM to strengthen Social Business Model. Finally, this study had successfully highlighted six values combinations adopted as strategies by Social Business Model based on types of businesses and social missions. The major contribution of this study was the development of six types of Social Business Model based on the values combinations i.e. establishment of Social Business Model according to the approaches of products, services and a combination of both cores of business. In the meantime, the establishment of Social Business Model based on social mission was derived from firstly, the Environment and Direct Community Involvement, secondly, Indirect Community Involvement and finally, the approaches of economic impacts. The process of combining these values could be done in a hybrid mode that is by combining more than one approaches in Social Business Model. Social entrepreneurs can also modify their business model in favour of Social Business Model based on the proposed approaches. Finally, the results of this study had also met the recommended future studies of previous studies that sought to introduce a more flexible Social Business Model and promotion of Social Enterprises in this country.
