To justify the effectiveness of amendments on BRIS soil health, we justified plant physiology and production of vegetable crops grown on BRIS soil. Plant height of vegetable crops grown on BRIS soil was higher than that of crops grown on other amendments of BRIS soil. Chlorophyll (Chl) content in leaves increased in plants grown on amended-BRIS soil than other plants grown on BRIS soil. Soil amendment increased relative water content (RWC) and soil pH in all cases regardless of vegetable crops. The yield of vegetable crops was significantly higher under amended of BRIS soil compared to that of compost or top soil or BRIS soil. These results suggested that vegetables crops can be cultivated on BRIS soil after improving physical and chemical properties of BRIS soil by applying compost to get sustainable production. 1 1 6-9
