Long-term dynamics of multisite phosphorylation

A systematic framework for exploring the long-term dynamics of a reaction network is applied to a minimal model of ERK regulation that distinguishes both monophosphorylated forms and allows for nonzero enzyme processivity. Bistability and oscillations can be observed at high levels of processivity.
